Position Overview
The MRI Technologist plays a crucial role in the imaging department, responsible for the operation of MRI equipment and ensuring the safety of all individuals in the MRI environment.
The technologist is tasked with guiding patients and their families through the MRI process, preparing them for the examination, and ensuring their comfort throughout the procedure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Communicating essential procedural information to the Radiologist.
- Preparing and evaluating image quality, presenting completed images for review.
Qualifications:
*High school diploma or equivalent is required.
*An associate degree in a relevant field such as chemical, physical, biological science, or medical laboratory technology is preferred.
*ARRT certification as a radiologic technologist is required.
*Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
*Previous experience in radiology is preferred.
