Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Technician will be responsible for assisting with the intake process, communicating with staff, and maintaining accurate client logs. This role requires a flexible individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the intake process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into our program.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, both verbally and in written communication logs, to maintain accurate records and ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Listen attentively to clients' concerns and maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment.
  • Coordinate activities and ensure clients' schedules are followed daily.
  • Conduct mandatory bed checks and complete bed-check sheets for shift reporting.
  • Monitor medication lines and ensure clients' medical needs are met.
  • Participate in interventions and follow treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Uphold Therapeutic Boundaries and Staff Code of Ethics at all times.
  • Evaluate behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide input for treatment plans.
  • Distribute client snacks as needed and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Train new staff on unit, program, and milieu procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license necessary.
  • Some mental health experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience facilitating groups or activities a plus, but not necessary.
