Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team at Hills Machinery - RJV Equipment. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site service and repair for a variety of heavy equipment, including Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Bull Dozers, Crushers, Screeners, Pavers, Roller Compactors, Skid Steer Loaders, and Backhoe Loaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform onsite diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment.
  • Utilize strong knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Repair and replace faulty components in electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of service and repairs performed, including parts used and time spent.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers about the status and needs of their equipment.
  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely and efficient completion of work orders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in equipment repair and maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in the heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong diagnostic skills in electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems.
  • A good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions on Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Bull Dozers, Crushers, Screeners, Pavers, Roller Compactors, Skid Steer Loaders, and Backhoe Loaders.
  • Ability to perform repairs for all major equipment systems.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
