Job Summary

Seattle Children's seeks a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Counsel, Litigation to join our team. This role will provide complex legal advice, consultation, and policy analysis and interpretation in numerous areas of law and policy, including dispute management/resolution and employment law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent legal advice and consultation to senior management and other stakeholders on complex legal matters.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage external counsel in all phases of complex litigation, including commercial and employment cases.
  • Oversee discovery and other in-house aspects of litigation, including litigation holds, witness interviews, and internal communications.
  • Advises on and directs employee workplace investigations and manages employer response to workforce member discrimination charges.
  • Prepare written opinions and guidance for executive management team and key leaders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of legal developments in relevant areas of practice, existing and proposed state and federal regulations, and other matters of interest to the organization.
Requirements
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant legal experience in a corporate, public, or private law firm setting.
  • Admitted to practice law in the State of Washington (required by start date).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a major law firm or in-house experience in a large, complex organization.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
Compensation and Benefits

Seattle Children's offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $202,917.00 - $304,375.00 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
