About the Role

The Inventory Control Manager is a critical position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of the Inventory Control Department. This role requires a high level of collaboration with various departments in the distribution center to drive world-class results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory control processes, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Inventory Control team, ensuring they are following established procedures and protocols.
  • Work closely with the Information Technology (IT) and Inventory Engineering (IE) teams to ensure the technical aspects of the department are functioning properly.
  • Manage departmental budgets, analyzing costs and implementing cost reduction measures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to senior leadership on departmental performance.
  • Collaborate with other managers and staff members to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for the facility and corporation.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve departmental performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation and excellence in inventory control practices.
  • Evaluate employee performance, provide coaching and development opportunities, and make recommendations for disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining departmental metrics and performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of progressive supervisory or professional experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to execute tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend complex procedures and systems.
  • Experience with current Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Radio Frequency (RF) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.
