Experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist

The MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an experienced clinical nurse to join our team in the GI Surgical Oncology Unit. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based cancer care to patients and their families. With a focus on transforming nursing care through clinical practice, education, and research, we offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
**Job Summary:**
Manage patient outcomes by providing, coordinating, and supporting clinical aspects of direct patient care across the continuum of care. Scope impacts quality of patient care, patient outcomes, and use of resources in a designated area in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
**Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs for nursing care and collaborate with physicians and other services to plan care and evaluate outcomes.
- Improve practice by integrating results and theories of research studies.
- Participate in data collection for current studies.
- Document care according to established standards.
**Requirements:**
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in the Nrsg Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
**Salary:** $68,000 - $140,000 per year, based on experience.
