We are seeking an exceptional Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Houston Methodist Hospital.

Job Summary

The Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide expert clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice and quality patient care. This role requires strong assessment, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and lead by example.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement effective plans of care, incorporating evidence-based practices and promoting patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Mentor and coach nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines that support evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Two years of nursing experience in a healthcare environment, with at least one year in the clinical field for which you will be working.
  • Texas State Licensure or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
  • BLS (AHA) certification and Magnet ANCC Recognized Certification (ANCC).
