Job Description

El Milagro Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic Factory Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our factory equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with fabricating and welding structures in the plant or in the maintenance shop to ensure maximum efficiency and safety of mechanic equipment.
  • Assist with installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, system diagnosis and repair of breakdowns.
  • Take lead on larger projects and obtain any special resources required to complete work orders.
  • Coordinate and maintain the organization of the fabrication shop, including raw materials, tools, and welding equipment.
  • Be familiar with the use of shop equipment, such as shears, press brakes, iron worker, notches, band saw, etc.
  • Perform T.I.G welding, especially on light gauge sheet metal, and metal ranges from 18 gage and up.
  • Take dimensions, make in-house drawings, and fabricate from them (or from blueprints).
  • Understand sheet metal layout and be able to fabricate fittings, such as square to round, round elbow on gores, round eccentric reducers, round tee intersections at an angle, etc.
  • Perform MIG and stick welding, both flat and vertical up.
  • Go to the field to install or repair equipment, including climbing ladders and not being afraid of heights or getting your hands dirty on the job.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to motors and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment when breakdowns occur.
  • Help with installations and modifications of equipment.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, and specialized tools and care of those tools.
  • Report directly to the Maintenance Manager, including project updates, questions, difficulties, and ideas.
  • Obtain daily/weekly goals from Maintenance Manager.
  • Take detailed notes and ask questions when not confident of a process or project.
  • Come to work in clean and professional attire.
  • Enforce the safety of yourself and other teammates.
  • Use problem-solving skills and critical thinking to learn on the job and complete various types of complex tasks in an efficient and productive process.
  • Be aware of the current environment, report issues or proactive solutions, and help develop a more robust system/process.
  • Ask for what you need or what you believe will help your work or the work of others, safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work early mornings, and weekends when necessary.
  • 2+ years of work experience as a mechanic in an industrial setting preferred, or High school/Trade school mechanical degree graduate preferred.
  • Fundamental Math and Writing Skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • The ability to lift to 50 Lb, and to walk up/downstairs throughout the day.
  • Dependable, deadline-oriented, goal-driven, hardworking, with a good attitude and the ability to work well with teammates and management.
  • Able to follow directions.

  • Some computer experience.
  • Managing of time skills.
