Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Lead to join our team at Food Lion. As a Customer Service Lead, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to customers through the achievement of Food Lion customer service standards.
  • Assist the Customer Service Manager and Assistant Customer Service Manager in maintaining standards according to the Front End Standard Practice Manual.
  • Maximize sales through excellent customer service.
  • Perform duties such as unloading customers' groceries, checking prices, and handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the front end and MVP savings center.
  • Identify and address customer needs, and provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively with other store associates to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Working Conditions

The Customer Service Lead will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent interactions with customers and other store associates. The position requires standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The Customer Service Lead must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
