Account Executive Job Description

Michigan Kenworth in Dearborn is seeking a skilled Account Executive to join their Truck Sales team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals for new and used light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed sales targets for profit margin, unit sales, and market share for new and used trucks
  • Cultivate and grow assigned customer territories and accounts
  • Conquer and expand new business opportunities
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction among all assigned accounts
  • Stay up-to-date on all products and services offered by the company
Primary Duties:
  • Regularly call on assigned accounts, documenting complete and timely call reports
  • Keep customer profiles current in company databases
  • Successfully complete product and sales training courses as assigned
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of company systems, procedures, and policies
  • Resolve customer satisfaction issues, coordinating with other departments and branches as needed
  • Work assigned floor days to maximize retail sales opportunities
  • File complete and timely reports on all walk-in and call-in sales prospects
  • Ensure timely delivery of customer units
  • Promote sales of finance and insurance services related to truck sales transactions
Requirements:
  • Associates degree (AA) or comparable work experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Three to five years of heavy-duty truck sales or related experience
  • Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to read and interpret truck specification lists and technical bulletins
  • Extensive product knowledge to assist customers with purchase decisions
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Effective computer, mathematical, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to weather elements
