About the Role

Maine Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team in the Inpatient Psychiatry unit at our hospital. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex psychiatric and medical needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between units.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a patient-centered approach to care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine.
  • At least 1 year prior RN work experience in inpatient psychiatry, with a strong preference for experience in geriatric or medical psychiatry.
  • Basic knowledge of research-based nursing practices, principles, and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
