JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of various sports, including but not limited to MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, Soccer, Cricket, Golf, and Tennis.

Flexibility is essential, as the role requires support during day, evening, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred experience includes a background in media distribution or a related field, focusing on operations or continuous improvement.

Key competencies include:

  • Proficiency in video processing components and knowledge of broadcast and streaming operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, systems analysis, and data analysis capabilities.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, specifically in incident, problem, and change management.
  • Experience with event-based monitoring and the ability to navigate tools such as ServiceNow, Moogsoft, and Ineoquest for fault analysis.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, are crucial for success in this role.

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to multitask, make informed decisions, and thrive in high-pressure situations.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work with a high degree of accuracy are essential.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring and configuring on-air entitlements and scheduling for sports and special events.
  2. Ensuring proper setup for sports and special events prior to airing.
  3. Verifying that accurate entitlements and authorizations are applied within the systems for sports and special events.
  4. Monitoring systems throughout the duration of events to adapt to schedule changes and real-time adjustments, such as weather delays or overtime.
  5. Facilitating a smooth transition of entitlements and authorizations from event-specific to standard for the channel after events conclude.
