Job Description:

The University of Southern California (USC) is a world-renowned private research university, and we are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Associate Athletic Director for Development. This role will report to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the principal and major gift fundraising team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for fundraising activities, including oversight of the immediate campaign and long-term Athletics goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, coaches, administrators, top-level donors, and other community contacts.
  • Oversee a team of major gift officers and provide guidance on cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Associate Athletic Director for Advancement to develop marketing and communication strategies for the Trojan Athletic Fund.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for membership growth and incremental revenues.
  • Manage the Board of Counselors and assist in the development of leadership giving strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of experience (7 years preferred) in professional development, higher education, academic fundraising, public relations, or marketing.
  • Progressive experience in higher education and/or a sports-related field, preferably Division I athletics.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a strong understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes.
What We Offer:

The University of Southern California offers a competitive salary range of $141,000-$170,000, depending on experience.
