  • Comprehensive training program lasting 10 weeks - 8 weeks in the field alongside a dedicated mentor & 2 weeks of classroom training.
  • Post-training, your work schedule will consist of 4 shifts per week, each lasting 10 hours, based on operational needs.

Role Overview:

The Water Quality Service Technician is tasked with delivering exceptional customer service, conducting preventative maintenance, and performing routine repairs and calibrations of Hach devices at client locations. The clientele for this position will include both municipal entities (such as drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial sectors (including power generation and food processing plants).

This is a fully remote position that allows you to work from your home office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration/verification of instruments following established company protocols.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and act as the primary on-site contact for technical and service-related inquiries.
  • Provide timely and accurate service reports that impact billing, inventory management, instrument history, and failure documentation.
  • Adhere to safe work practices in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to service visits.
  • 60-75% travel within a 120+ mile radius. Expect to spend 6-8 nights away each month with company-covered accommodations and meals.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Associate or Technical degree, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Basic mechanical skills are essential; experience in preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
  • 1+ years of experience in field service or customer-facing roles is preferred.
