Position Summary

The Deceased Account Management Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting members, non-members, and Ent employees with the resolution of accounts. This position requires guiding survivors through a comprehensive and sensitive process to ensure accounts are settled accurately and promptly. The specialist must consider all facets of the account to mitigate risk and legal exposure for Ent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Notification of Death Portfolios

  • Document Management - Incoming and Outgoing
  • Handle Calls and Email Correspondence - Incoming and Outgoing
  • Provide Call Center Support
  • Update Deceased Account Policies and Procedures
  • Adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act, ensuring compliance with Ent's policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of member/account service experience in a financial institution
  • Experience in processing transactions related to deceased accounts
  • Preferred experience in inbound phone communication
  • Preferred experience in new account setups

Relevant work experience may substitute for educational requirements. For instance, a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be replaced by a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience.

Technical Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of account structures
  • Strong understanding of legal documents such as Death Certificates, Letters Testamentary, Court Orders, and Small Estate Affidavits
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in handling financial transactions with precision
  • Basic familiarity with standard banking software applications
  • Outstanding organizational abilities
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and various databases
  • Preferred experience with Jack Henry Symitar/Episys
Work Environment
  • Occasional standing and walking
  • Frequent sitting
  • Rare lifting and carrying (up to 40 lbs)
  • Frequent talking and hearing
  • Occasional exposure to temperature changes and atmospheric conditions
Compensation

The pay range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, specific skills, education, and internal equity.
