Job Title: Dental Assistant

LifeLong Medical Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at our Berkeley Dental site. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental staff in all phases of dentistry.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist dentist(s) chair side in all phases of dentistry, including taking diagnostic intra-oral x-rays and developing and mounting them correctly.
  • Manage patient behavior during treatment and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients.
  • Operate dental radiographic equipment and follow infection control protocols as specified by professional, state, and federal standards.
  • Assist patients with oral hygiene instructions following dental procedures and document treatment and patient information in dental software.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the clinic manager and dental director.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of certified Dental Assisting Training Program and valid California Radiology License.
  • Current CPR from AHA approved organization.
  • Knowledge of proper use of all dental materials and dental equipment and ability to assist dentist.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office word, excel, and outlook.
  • Must have reliable daily transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of relevant dental clinic experience.
  • Experience with dental software system.
  • Experience working with children.

  • Competitive hourly rate: $21 - $22/hour.
