Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at LifeLong Medical Care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed dentists in all phases of dentistry, including chair-side support and patient care.
  • Manage patient behavior during treatment and ensure a comfortable and safe environment.
  • Operate dental radiographic equipment to take diagnostic-quality x-rays and develop and mount them as requested by the dentist.
  • Follow infection control protocols and use protective equipment to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Assist patients with oral hygiene instructions and provide education on proper oral care.
  • Document treatment and patient information in our dental software program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the clinic manager and dental director.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified Dental Assisting Training Program and valid California Radiology License preferred.
  • Current CPR certification from an AHA-approved organization.
  • Knowledge of proper use of dental materials and equipment and ability to assist dentists.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • One year of relevant dental clinic experience preferred; experience with dental software systems and working with children a plus.
