Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Resident Care Director at our senior living community in Milledgeville, GA. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement resident care programs that meet the unique needs of each resident, while adhering to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure seamless resident selection and onboarding processes.
  • Conduct resident functional evaluations to determine care needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Coordinate new resident orientation and assist with move-ins, ensuring a smooth transition for residents and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, their families, and healthcare providers, fostering open communication and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Oversee medication management, hospitalizations, and physician visits, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Support the recruitment and retention of qualified resident care staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling to meet resident needs, while managing departmental budgets and resources effectively.
Requirements
  • Valid LPN license
  • CPR/First Aid certification (a plus or as required by State regulations)
  • State required certifications, training, and continuing education
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse workforce (1-2 years)
  • Prior work experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, nursing, and/or assisted living environments
  • Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and laws
  • Excellent people skills and a genuine appreciation for elderly persons
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screening
