We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Resident Care Director at Senior Living Management. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement resident care programs that meet the unique needs of each resident, while adhering to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure resident selection processes align with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct resident functional evaluations to determine care needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Coordinate new resident orientations, medication management, and hospitalizations, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication with healthcare providers.
- Oversee self-administration of medications, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with medication guidelines.
- Support the recruitment and retention of qualified resident care staff, promoting a positive work environment and excellent morale.
- Ensure adequate staffing, efficient scheduling, and effective training for resident care staff members.
- Monitor departmental spending and review declining ledgers to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Valid LPN license
- CPR/First Aid certification (or as required by State regulations)
- State required certifications, training, and continuing education
- 1-2 years of experience in managing a diverse workforce, preferably in geriatric, rehabilitation, nursing, or assisted living environments
- Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and laws
- Excellent people skills and genuine appreciation for elderly persons
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screening
