About the Role
This position plays a vital part in ensuring efficient contract performance throughout the life cycle, supporting amendments and interpretations as necessary. The successful candidate will work closely with the Contracts Manager and other departments to prepare bids, proposals, and contract reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop bid and proposal materials, negotiate contracts, and conduct thorough reviews.
- Generate compliance matrices and make recommendations based on AV policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer portfolios, providing exceptional customer service and interface on pre-contract and active contract activities.
- Analyze and summarize contractual obligations, commitments, and performance for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in monitoring long-term contract performance and coordinate flow-downs of terms and conditions with all relevant departments.
- Evaluate proposals for accuracy and compliance with AV Terms and Conditions and export regulations.
- Liaise with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) for sources, inspections, and quality checks.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- A minimum of 8-12 years' experience performing duties and responsibilities in an aerospace/defense/government contracting environment.
- Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes, government contracting principles, and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS, contract-specific flow-downs).
- Demonstrated understanding of contractual terms and conditions and high-risk terms.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EAR and related U.S. regulations.
- Experience with finance and accounting procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality or timeliness.
- Active security clearance required.
