Job Summary:

Penn Technical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Land Survey Crew Chief to join their team. As a key member of the survey crew, you will be responsible for performing topographic, boundary, and construction stakeout surveys using conventional, robotic, and Global Positioning System (GPS) methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and other relevant features
  • Prepare field notes, drawings, and perform survey calculations
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including data collectors, GPS devices, and robotic instruments
  • Collaborate with other survey crew members to ensure accurate and efficient survey operations
  • Develop and implement survey plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in topographic, boundary, and construction stakeout surveys
  • Proficient in current surveying techniques, including data collection, GPS, and robotic instruments
  • Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering, and construction industry principles
  • Ability to read, interpret, and draft plans, profiles, cross sections, and details
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills, including email and data management
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions and be able to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rugged, rural, or urban settings.
