Survey Technician/Instrument Operator

Randstad is seeking a skilled Survey Technician/Instrument Operator to join their team in West Henrietta, NY. This direct hire opportunity requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of industry experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain land survey instruments, including tripods, tribrachs, levels, total stations, GNSS receivers, and data radios/modems.
  • Assist in the completion of field surveys under the supervision of a Crew Chief.
  • Utilize survey controllers and software to collect geospatial data and perform survey computations.
  • Read and interpret various types of maps and plans.
  • Complete neat and orderly field notes for land survey operations.
  • Load and unload trucks with land survey equipment and supplies.
  • Clean and maintain land survey equipment, tools, and vehicle.
  • Follow company safety procedures for land survey operations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of industry experience.
  • Knowledge of land survey principles and operations.
  • Ability to work in a smoke-free and non-temperature-controlled environment.
