Job Title: Outsourced Accounting NFP Manager

Withum is a forward-thinking, technology-driven advisory and accounting firm, empowering clients to achieve success in today's modern business landscape.

We are seeking an experienced Outsourced Accounting NFP Manager to join our team in one of our office locations: New York, NY; Bethesda, MD; East Brunswick, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Princeton, NJ; Woburn, MA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of accounting professionals
  • Review and approve payments to vendors and contractors
  • Review and approve payroll
  • Handle month-end close process
  • Review and approve all proposed journal entries
  • Review all reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including financial statements, narratives, and dashboards
  • Assist with grant reporting and submissions
  • Budgeting and cash flow forecasting
  • Work with client leadership to ensure financial goals are met
  • Facilitate annual audits
  • Ensure proper internal controls and process enhancements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification
  • 5-7+ years of accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Intacct Accounting System, QBO, and/or NetSuite Accounting Systems
  • Experience working with not-for-profit organizations and community organizations with a basic understanding of accounting reporting for not-for-profits
  • Involvement in their community and desire to give back
