Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will provide quality support and advocacy to our clients, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily routines, providing personal care, and facilitating community integration.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, ensuring their needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with bathroom needs, changing undergarments and clothing, and preparing daily meals.
  • Transport clients to and from their homes and facilities, ensuring their safety and well-being during transportation.
  • Assist clients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client behavior or health status to the care team.
Requirements:
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
  • First Aid/CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a California Driver's License.
  • Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, working AM/PM/NOC shifts, with one weekend day required. The work location is Oceanside/Vista, CA.
