Job Title: Direct Support Professional

At Redwood Family Care Network, we are committed to providing person-centered home and community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will provide support and assistance to adults with physical and developmental disabilities in their daily lives. This includes assisting with complete care of dietary, hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing needs, as well as supporting the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of Individual Program Plans (IPPs).

Responsibilities:
  • Assist adults with physical and developmental disabilities in their daily lives
  • Assist with complete care of dietary, hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing needs
  • Support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of IPPs
  • Support the needs and goals of each resident by taking them to visit family and friends, to preferred leisure/recreation activities, and encouraging them to socialize among peers
  • Assist clients with personal care such as grooming, bathroom needs, changing clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional or personal experience supporting children with developmental disabilities (e.g. Autism) or mental illnesses
  • Group home license preferred
  • Must have a valid in-state driver's license, be over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
