City Experiences, anchored by Hornblower, is on the lookout for a Regional Sales Account Manager to oversee our City Cruises operations.

The position offers a base compensation of $31.25 per hour, complemented by a sales commission structure that can yield an additional $39,000 upon achieving the established sales targets. Should sales performance exceed the predetermined goals, further financial incentives may be available as per the commission framework.

As we like to say at City Experiences, why work when you can cruise? The successful Regional Account Manager will effectively sell group and charter services through both inside and outside sales efforts to meet regional sales objectives.


About You:
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody the principles of our RESPECT Service System.

Key Responsibilities:


Achieve or surpass annual personal sales targets established by leadership. Develop a thorough understanding of customer and market demands. Implement the sales strategy utilizing effective sales methodologies. Generate leads primarily through telemarketing and networking with existing clients, while also participating in trade shows and industry events. Convert prospects into clients through successful telephone sales calls and effective closing techniques. Identify customer needs and leverage in-depth product knowledge to craft compelling proposals.

Foster win/win scenarios by balancing company and customer interests. Present proposals convincingly over the phone and during in-person meetings. Successfully upsell existing clients to higher-value offerings. Address objections and resolve customer concerns. Build relationships with associations and business organizations to generate referrals. Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries. Communicate complete and accurate product information to the operations team for effective execution. Follow up with customers within 24 hours post-cruise to further develop the account by expressing gratitude, discussing future events, gathering feedback, scheduling follow-up meetings, and securing referrals. Collaborate with the Director of Sales to address customer issues. Utilize Salesforce (CRM software) to strategically plan and manage activities in assigned markets and track sales productivity. Employ ANCHOR (reservation software) for accurate order bookings. Maintain personal organization, manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks appropriately, and keep accurate records. Work with the Sales Assistant to collect payments and maintain accounts receivable within established guidelines. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications:


Event sales experience is essential. A minimum of 2 years of total sales experience, including at least 1 year of outbound telephone sales experience, is required. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred. Experience in the hospitality sector is advantageous but not mandatory. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is necessary.

Strong analytical skills are needed to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities. The role primarily involves telephone sales, necessitating excellent verbal communication skills. Proposal writing is a key component, requiring effective written communication. The ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships is crucial. Candidates must possess persuasive skills and proven leadership abilities. Effective listening skills are essential to assess situations, identify relevant issues, propose solutions, and achieve consensus.
