About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Loan Officer to join our team at Motto Mortgage Charged. As a Junior Loan Officer, you will play a critical role in helping applicants navigate the home loan process and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate loan applicants about various residential mortgage loans, answer questions, and provide additional information to create personal relationships.
  • Generate new business opportunities, get referrals, monitor sales pipeline, and meet sales expectations.
  • Collaborate with the mortgage lender or mortgage banker, underwriter, loan processor, senior MLO / mortgage loan originator, and realtors on behalf of the applicant as needed to ensure the loan transaction goes through successfully.
  • Assemble financial information to assist with loan applications, prepare loan files, and assess applicants' financial situation and eligibility.
  • Discuss options with senior mortgage loan officer/ MLO to make a recommendation of which home loan products are best suited depending on applicant's financial status.
  • Lead Prospecting: Engage with a consistent flow of company-provided leads, developing them into qualified prospects.
  • Client Communication: Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, guiding them through the initial stages of the mortgage process.
  • Conversion Focus: Leverage your prospecting efforts to turn leads into applications and, eventually, closed loans.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior loan officers, underwriters, and processors to learn the ropes and ensure a smooth client experience.
  • Target Growth: Aim to meet and exceed your loan origination targets by focusing on lead conversion and client engagement.
Requirements
  • Excellent sales, relationship, communications, and MS Office skills are vital.
  • Understanding of loan programs guidelines and various types of loans such as FHA, commercial loans, VA, etc. is helpful, but not required.
  • Must be willing to complete training program to obtain NMLS/ MLO/ state license.
  • Experience in real estate, lending institutions, credit unions, financial services, or related fields is desired, but not required.
  • Some college (Bachelor's) is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Eager to learn and grow in the mortgage industry.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on achieving goals.
  • Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to obtain an NMLS license.
