Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Psychiatric Technician will report to the Wellness Director and play a crucial role in managing the Wellness Department. This position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, with a focus on prioritizing resident health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor medication administration, including frequent audits of medication records and ordering medications from the pharmacy.
  • Record significant changes regarding resident health and communicate with appropriate parties.
  • Assist with medication management, including med pass and documentation.
  • Update medical charts and care plans, maintaining daily resident records in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Schedule Personal Care Assistants and develop daily tasks and assignments.
  • Ensure medical supplies are always in stock, taking inventory and ordering as needed.
  • Follow up weekly on bath schedules and vital signs.
  • Act as a point of contact during shift for communication with supervisors, doctors, and families.
  • Contribute to community relationships by demonstrating cooperation and professional conduct with residents, families, and fellow team members.
Requirements
  • Valid and unencumbered California LVN or Psych Tech license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate and prior care experience in an assisted living community or skilled nursing facility.
  • Mandatory Live-Scan Clearance, TB test, physical exam, and CPR/AED certification.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language fluently.
  • Ability to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends.
