Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Risk Analyst to support our Critical Infrastructure Group. The successful candidate will provide advanced analytical support to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and apply rational, systematic, science-based techniques to inform and improve the Department's decision-making abilities for preparation, response, and recovery to Weapons of Mass Destruction scenarios and Critical Infrastructure disruption scenarios.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a wide range of modeling and analytical activities, including model design, implementation, and operations, model use documentation, data transformation, database schema design, and data quality assurance process design, execution, and oversight.
- Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and executing analyses to help demonstrate and expand analytical rigor and capability related to weapons of mass destruction (CBRN) and critical infrastructure disruption scenarios.
- Work with a wide range of stakeholders to develop plans of action and timetables to meet established deadlines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7-12 years of experience.
- Experience in any of the following programming languages: Python, R, MATLAB, Java, C++, VBA, SQL.
- Proven ability to prioritize and execute workload to meet requirements and deadlines.
- Experience developing compelling written and visual communications that are clear, concise, and suited to the audience.
- Must have active DOD Secret clearance.
- Master's Degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, quantitative social sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience with quantitative risk analysis.
- Experience providing analytical support to the Department of Homeland Security.
