Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist 2 - Non-Criminal Justice Auditor to join our team at the State of Oregon. This is a full-time, limited duration position expected to end on or before 06/31/2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain program documents and audit functions to ensure user compliance in support of the overall Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Audit & Quality Control Programs.
  • Coordinate with other audit and training staff and management to monitor and review the program's effect.
  • Investigate complaints of system misuse or other alleged violations from system users or private citizens, make findings of fact, and take or recommend corrective action.
  • Represent the CJIS Division at various meetings and user events.
Requirements
  • Four years of experience in administrative research, including compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action or decide compliance with program guidelines and regulations.
  • Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.
  • LEDs certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in evaluating documents, procedures, reports, systems, or conditions to decide compliance with State and Federal program requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply laws, rules, agency policies to help others solve compliance issues.
  • Ability to identify training needs to gain compliance or improve program operations.
  • Experience with regular contact with staff members, clients, and the public to gather and share information, clarify policy, and determine compliance.
  • Ability to evaluate information to determine cause of error.
