About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to drive revenue growth with strategic customers.
  • They will work closely with internal operations teams and external customers to ensure efficient operations and provide additional value to our customers.
  • This role also involves leading the daily operations of our freight services, ensuring that we exceed customer expectations and grow revenue from existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement processes to manage and solicit business from key customer bases using daily available capacity.
  2. Lead the organization in tracking and monitoring key factors such as service, trailer needs, freight acceptance/decline, etc. for customers.
  3. Understand how individual customers measure PTI's performance and develop processes to meet or exceed their expectations.
  4. Manage and distribute customer-driven scorecards to Operations and PTI leadership, highlighting opportunities and improvement areas.
  5. Work closely with sales to expand business revenue by exploring dedicated, rail, and logistics opportunities with key customers.
  6. Lead the team to meet target load volumes with current customers.
  7. Monitor and track loads to follow up with customers on any service issues.
  8. Maintain knowledge of customer contractual agreements relative to trailer pools, accessorial charges, service reporting, etc.
  9. Support the Customer Service team with daily functions as needed.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an associate degree in a related field is required.
  • Two or more years of transportation experience are preferred.
  • Three to five years of leadership experience are required.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
