Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict sterile technique.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families, promoting a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure accurate and timely communication, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay current with best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program preferred.
  • BLS certification and ability to obtain CST certification within one year of hire.
  • One year of experience in a surgical setting, with a focus on patient care and safety.
