Position Overview:
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services tailored to the needs of children in both home health and outpatient clinic settings. This role is vital in enhancing the well-being and recovery of our young patients.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Pediatric OT, you will:

  • Administer occupational therapy services as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures while complying with patient care standards and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify occupational therapy needs, set goals, and outline expected outcomes in collaboration with the referring physician.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Plan of Care to ensure continuity of care.
  • Implement appropriate therapeutic techniques aligned with identified goals and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate services with the healthcare team, including discharge planning, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, providing regular updates to physicians and stakeholders.
  • Participate in case conferences and in-service training as required.
  • Supervise support staff as necessary.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current certification and licensure to practice Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience in pediatric rehabilitative services is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and healthcare teams.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates should be capable of:

  • Performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving patients.
  • Traveling as required to provide services in various settings.
  • Responding effectively to emergency situations.

Work Environment:
The Pediatric OT will work in diverse environments, potentially facing exposure to allergens and other conditions. Safety protocols and professional boundaries must be maintained at all times.
