Position Overview

Suggs Pediatric Outpatient Therapy Services is seeking a licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on providing exceptional therapy services within a sensory integration-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and implement tailored treatment plans for pediatric clients.
  • Document therapy sessions and maintain clear communication with parents and caregivers.
  • Manage scheduling and administrative tasks as required.

Core Duties

  • Enhance children's performance in daily activities to support their overall engagement and development.
  • Select and customize occupational therapy approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Implement interventions that promote safety and enhance daily living skills, play, and social interactions.
  • Educate children on task management and assist them in breaking down activities into manageable steps.
  • Provide at-home strategies for families that align with each child's unique capabilities.
  • Support and guide family members and caregivers through the therapeutic process.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups with families to track progress and adjust plans as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Ability to engage with children of varying personalities and temperaments.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and knowledge of current treatment methodologies.
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid Texas Occupational Therapy License or COTA certification.
  • Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or COTA.

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time
