Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Under general supervision, the technician is responsible for conducting high-quality echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds in accordance with ICAEL and ICAVL accredited standards. This role involves close collaboration with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and radiologists. The technician must demonstrate initiative and independent judgment, possessing knowledge of techniques and patient positioning to ensure optimal ultrasound imaging.

Individuals in this position will engage with diverse patient demographics, including adults and geriatric patients. There may be exposure to infections from contact with patients, as well as potential interaction with processing chemicals and hazardous materials. The work schedule may require flexibility, including overtime and on-call duties. The role is physically demanding, necessitating prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting.

Preferred Qualifications

On-call availability for Echo & Vascular services is required.

Registration in one modality is mandatory, with the expectation to obtain registration in the other modality within six months.
