Job Title: Vascular Sonographer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular Sonographer to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of vascular ultrasound exams, including 2D scans, duplex imaging, Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) with and without exercise, and doppler studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vascular ultrasound exams, including 2D scans, duplex imaging, ABI with and without exercise, and doppler studies.
  • Measure and calculate laboratory protocol as required.
  • Provide written or oral summary of preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Be flexible with work hours to meet department needs.
  • Be dependable, accountable, and cooperative.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Registered Medical Sonographer (RMS) certification.
  • ARRT Vascular Sonography certification.
  • Reg Vascular Specialist certification.
  • Reg Vascular Technologist certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience.
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with vascular ultrasound equipment and software.
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

The Vascular Sonographer will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient contact. The successful candidate will be required to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
