Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough background assessments to evaluate the eligibility of candidates for access to sensitive U.S. Government information.
  • Coordinate and arrange meetings with subjects, references, and documentation providers.
  • Conduct in-person interviews with individuals including subjects, neighbors, employers, and family members.
  • Execute record searches across various institutions to gather necessary information.
  • Document and present findings in a clear and organized manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Mandatory:
  • U.S. Citizenship is essential.
  • Possession of a current Tier 5 SSBI clearance.
  • A High School diploma is required.
  • Experience in executing background investigations in accordance with National Training Standards.
  • A minimum of 3 years of general experience or 1 year of specialized Federal Background Investigative experience.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Professional interaction skills with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to adapt and perform effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Strong organizational and communication capabilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in typing and computer usage.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Proven track record of quality, punctuality, and productivity.
  • Willingness to travel locally and beyond the primary work area.
  • Opportunities for Temporary Duty Assignments.
  • Capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 10 pounds.

Note: Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
