About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Utility Laborer to join our team at American Water Enterprises. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of water and wastewater services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water and wastewater infrastructure, including pumps, pipelines, valves, and motors.
  • Assist with customer service, hydrant repairs, and main break emergencies and repairs.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps, pipelines, valves, motors, and appurtenances related to the water and wastewater systems.
  • Perform maintenance of the water and wastewater system, including hydro-cleaning and video inspection of wastewater and storm water mains and associated appurtenances.
  • Calibrate, modify, or repair instrumentation and control equipment, including recorders, flow meters, and other monitoring equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of water and wastewater systems, as well as excellent mechanical and electrical skills. You will also need to be able to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
