About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Systems Planner to join our team at American Water Enterprises. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for our water and wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive planning studies to identify opportunities for system improvements and optimize water and wastewater system performance.
  • Develop and maintain asset investment plans and strategic capital expenditure plans to ensure alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Analyze system capacity and evaluate source, production, distribution, storage, and other system deficiencies to support ongoing operations and service extension requests.
  • Provide technical expertise on water and wastewater system planning matters, including capital planning, source water safe yield analysis, and computerized hydraulic modeling and analysis.
  • Present results of engineering analysis to stakeholders, including expert testimony and presentations to regulatory agencies and senior company management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater systems, including planning, design, and operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
