The Job

We are seeking a Hospitality Team Member to join our team. As a Hospitality Team Member, you will be responsible for achieving our mission of providing each guest with a truly wonderful experience. Your key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering Exceptional Hospitality and Service
    • Greet guests in a friendly manner and ensure they are served quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
    • Assist guests with placing orders by expertly guiding them through the menu, making suggestions, entering the order into the point-of-sale system, and processing payments.
    • Take telephone orders and prepare take-out orders.
    • Master and maintain menu knowledge, including an understanding of food restrictions, allergies/allergens, popular dishes, and chef suggestions.
    • Make and serve fresh non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
    • Deliver food to guests and refill drinks quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
    • Engage guests in light conversation when appropriate.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Inviting Space
    • Clear and sanitize tables and chairs efficiently, and carry dishes, silverware, and glassware to the kitchen for washing.
    • Upkeep the restroom, including sanitizing it on an hourly basis, restocking soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
    • Set up, stock, clean, and maintain all service stations.
  • Maintaining a Safe Working Environment
    • Understand and exhibit compliance to the company's required safety policies and standards.
    • Practice safe food handling and sanitation procedures and maintain required food handling certifications where applicable by law.
  • Exemplifying Company Culture
    • Work as a team to achieve company goals and standards.
    • Support other areas of the restaurant as necessary.
    • Maintain a professional and presentable appearance according to the company's uniform policy.
  • All Other Job Duties as Assigned by Manager
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A warm, helpful, hospitable, and guest-focused nature.
  • Restaurant or retail experience is helpful, but not necessary.
  • The ability to approach work with a sense of fun while delivering outstanding results.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • A high level of resourcefulness in solving problems and taking initiative.
  • The ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence.
  • The ability to comply with all company policies, processes, and standards.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs.
  • Food handler's card may be required according to local and/or state regulations.
  • Responsible Beverage Service Certification may be required according to local and/or state regulations.
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • The ability to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Some bending, kneeling, and stooping required.
  • The ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • The ability to work in a hot kitchen environment.
  • The ability to place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on both high and low shelves.
  • The ability to work indoors and outdoors.
