Job Summary

Flightstar Jacksonville is seeking a highly skilled NDT Inspector to join our team. As an NDT Inspector, you will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing and inspection procedures on aircraft parts, structures, and systems in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform both simple and complex NDT inspection procedures on aircraft parts, structures, and systems.
  • Use micrometers, gauges, calipers, indicators, and other measuring instruments and test equipment in the performance of skilled inspection work.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical data.
  • Research and retrieve technical data as necessary.
  • Maintain an updated, current knowledge of technical information and inspection techniques and requirements through adequate research and technical reading.
  • Lifts and carries measuring instruments, tools, and test equipment; ascends and descends ladders and platforms; and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping, kneeling or squatting.
  • Follows safety procedures and wears and utilizes appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed.
  • Communicates effectively in English regarding work activities, per FAA requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in NDT inspection and testing.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
