  • Ratios: 1:5-6
  • Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays
  • 36 hrs only
  • SHIFT: 12HR DAYS
  • RTO -7 DAYS MAX

Travelers are required to work every other weekend. Floating is required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units. If the traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, we will need to have them make up the weekend shifts based on the needs of the unit. Frequent floating may be required.

We care primarily for Stroke patients, but also care for possible Neurosurgery patients as well as other Neuro diagnoses, such as Epilepsy, Traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and many more.

We have a 4 BED Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) that is considered Intermediate level and that nurse has 4:1 ratio. 42 daily census. 43 rooms/beds.

Unit systems include PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.

Scheduling type is preferred scheduling. If a traveler calls out of a shift, they are expected to make up that day the same week or at the end of their contract.

Unit orientation is 36 hours.

Scrub color is Navy.

Internal notes include: Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty. Block scheduling is not always going to be able to be guaranteed. MUST HAVE MED/SURG EXPERIENCE.

Shift is Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15).
