Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in helping clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.

Conduct thorough examinations, evaluations, and interventions to develop personalized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based practices and tools to administer physical therapy interventions, ensuring the highest level of care for our clients/patients/residents.

Educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans, schedules, and self-exercises to be continued at home. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and effective communication.

May work with individuals of all ages, adapting treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client/patient/resident. Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in physical therapy, incorporating this knowledge into daily treatment.

Exhibit flexibility in accepting variable work schedules and assignments, while maintaining a commitment to delivering exceptional care. Participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health.

Interact with various stakeholders, including providers, case managers, third-party payers, and public organizations. May supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services.

Perform other related duties as requested by manager, contributing to the overall success of the department.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • When applicable, may require a valid driver's license.
  • Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
