About the Role:

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Materials Management Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory and special-order items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager, Materials Management, in performing receiving and distribution of inventory and special-order items.
  • Restock warehouses and supervise a team of Materials Management Clerks as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to receiving, stock, and non-stock supply distribution.
  • Coordinate emergency deliveries with the Transportation department administration.
  • Research special-order delivery issues and notify the Inventory Coordinator of any changes in product movement.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving flow, filling pick tickets/computer requisitions, and delivering supplies to hospital departments on time.
  • Participate in annual and cycle count events as directed by the Manager, Materials Management.
  • Load and unload the department's delivery truck and bring supplies and equipment into the department.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years of related experience required
  • Previous experience with an automated inventory management system preferred
  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports, and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs
