AdventHealth Heart of Florida is a licensed acute care facility with 193 beds, offering outpatient services such as imaging, rehabilitation, laboratory, and wound care. For over 50 years, we have been dedicated to serving our community.

Your Role:

The Advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for overseeing and delivering respiratory clinical care tailored to specific age groups. This role includes supervisory responsibilities in the absence of a Clinical Specialist or Supervisor. Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to meet treatment goals. Adherence to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable regulations is essential. This position also emphasizes outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.

Your Contributions to the Team:

· Exemplifies AdventHealth's service standards through professional conduct.

· Conducts thorough assessments and makes informed decisions based on patient evaluations. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to set patient goals and develop care plans. Interprets diagnostic data, including lab results and monitoring information, and communicates effectively with team members.

· Completes departmental orientation and required certifications, demonstrating proficiency in all relevant procedures.

· Upholds safety regulations and standard precautions consistently. Accurately documents and charges for procedures to meet departmental and hospital quality standards.

· Responds promptly to emergency situations, providing CPR in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines.

Qualifications:

Essential Expertise and Experience:

· Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science

· Valid and Current Florida State License as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
