About the Role

This Jr. Product Design Engineer - Mechanical position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and be proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop new products.
  • Perform system component and system level design tasks, trade studies, and analysis.
  • Design components and systems for harsh environments, including vacuum, shock, and extreme temperatures.
  • Develop electronics packaging designs for rigid and flexible circuits.
  • Create mechanical drawings while adhering to GD&T practices and principles.
  • Generate and perform verification and validation testing.
  • Establish work instructions for system and test bed construction.
  • Support and develop DFMEAs.
  • Participate in the assembly of systems and test beds.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in mechanical design or related field.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T practices and principles.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
  • Familiarity with product development processes and engineering design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $95,000, contingent upon location and experience requirements. US citizenship and the ability to obtain Secret or Top Secret clearance are mandatory.
