**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc. As a key member of our Ground Transportation Division, you will be responsible for delivering state agency and municipal roadway, traffic, drainage, and safety designs.

As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to prepare calculations, layouts, estimates, and specifications. You will also lead and guide junior engineers and CADD teammates, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback to develop their skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project budget, scope of services, project development, and project schedule. They will be able to provide updates and recommendations to the Project Manager to maintain schedule and budget.

In this role, you will also assist in proposal efforts and development, conduct site visits, and participate in or lead meetings with clients/contractors. Strong technical writing and presentation skills are essential for deliverables, proposals, and presentations in a public setting.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in NH, MA, ME, or VT
  • Experience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans, or MassDOT highway projects
  • Proficient in Microstation, AutoCAD, HydroCAD, Civil 3D, ArcView, In Roads, WORD, Excel, and MS Project

**What We Offer**

Hoyle Tanner offers a competitive salary of $95,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. We also offer flexible scheduling and remote work options.

**Location**

This position can be based out of our Portsmouth, NH, Manchester, NH, Burlington, VT, or Chelmsford, MA offices.
