Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in nursing activities, including the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of nursing care plans to ensure quality patient care.
  • Act as a health liaison and coordinate medical follow-up, including completion of consultations.
  • Provide first aid and emergency nursing care, and monitor and order pharmaceutical supplies for each individual.
  • Attend team reviews and present information, as needed, and meet documentation requirements, including obtaining and transcribing physicians' orders, daily nursing notes, health charts, medication regimen reviews, and case review summaries.
  • Provide medication administration, maintain inventory standards for medication, controlled substances, and medical supplies, and participate in staff training.
  • Prepare clinical and administrative reports, and perform additional duties as discussed in detail during the interview.
Requirements
  • Licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State.
  • Maintain a valid New York State license and registration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

As a Registered Nurse with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, you will enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • A salary range of $110,442-$119,169, including a statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18, Geographic Differential, and Mid-Hudson Adjustment.
  • A shift differential of $3620 for working four or more hours between 4pm-12am, and inconvenience pay of $575 for working four or more hours between 6PM and 6AM.
