Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer who speaks Mandarin to join our team at Covenant Consulting. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement test plans, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement in our IoT products and systems.

Key Skills:
  • Testing devices using iOS and Android
  • Good knowledge of battery and Bluetooth / Near Field Communication (NFC) connection testing
  • Experience troubleshooting IoT devices
  • Experience working with Wi-Fi routers
  • Experience with matter protocol is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to IoT devices and systems
  • Identify testing requirements for various IoT components, including hardware, firmware, and software
  • Design and implement test environments that replicate real-world IoT scenarios and use cases
  • Conduct manual and automated testing of IoT devices, applications, and services to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and security standards
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing on IoT systems, including connectivity, data transmission, and user interfaces
  • Execute end-to-end testing of IoT solutions, from device-to-cloud interactions to application-level functionality
  • Log, track, and manage defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
  • Work closely with development and hardware teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Validate fixes and perform re-testing to ensure defects are properly addressed
  • Contribute to the refinement of QA processes and methodologies specific to IoT testing
  • Stay informed about emerging IoT technologies, industry trends, and best practices to enhance testing strategies
Qualifications:
  • Fluent in speaking Mandarin
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on IoT systems or similar technologies
  • Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with IoT protocols and standards (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, HTTP/HTTPS)
  • Strong understanding of IoT architecture, including sensors, actuators, communication protocols, and cloud integration
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, custom scripts)
  • Experience with hardware testing, including device calibration, signal analysis, and connectivity testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred: experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in IoT environments, knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques for IoT systems (e.g., JMeter, custom performance scripts), and familiarity with IoT security testing practices and tools.
