Job Title: Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, where you will be required to work in our office twice a month, with the opportunity to work remotely for the rest of the time.

Job Summary:

The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll system. This includes overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing, administering employee benefits, conducting regular audits of 401K plans, and handling employee terminations.

Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring all employees are paid correctly.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits.
  • Conduct regular audits of 401K plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Handle employee terminations, including final pay calculations and exit interviews.
  • Utilize Yardi and Paylocity software for payroll processing and management.
  • Provide ad hoc reports as requested by management, including payroll summaries, overtime reports, and benefits utilization.
  • Stay updated on current regulations and best practices in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll and benefits administration.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in Yardi and Paylocity or similar payroll software.
  • Experience conducting 401K audits.
  • Familiarity with employee termination procedures.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
